LazyLawn will be keeping kids safe during Walk to School Month with a dazzling donation of high visibility accessories.
The UK’s biggest artificial grass supplier will be supplying high visibility wear to any school ordering a bespoke LazyLawn roadway during October, to assist pupils with road safety lessons and keep them safe on their walk to school.
Pupils at Whissendine Primary School, near Oakham in Rutland, are already benefitting from their donation of bags and vests after having a 350 square metre artificial grass roadway installed in their playground.
Andy Driver, Marketing Director at LazyLawn, comments:
We hope the donations we will be making during October will enhance pupils’ learning by allowing schools to use their roadway to teach road safety, as well as for playtime fun.
As a responsible firm, we strive to support schools and are delighted to be able to provide a donation that can help to make real a difference to children.
We hope our donation will also encourage children to enjoy an active lifestyle by walking to school, while at the same keeping them safe and ensuring they are seen during the winter months.
It is great to see that pupils at Whissendine Primary School are already staying safe with their high visibility bags and tabards.
Whissendine Primary School pupils are now racing to use their LazyLawn roadway at playtime after the UK’s biggest artificial grass supplier transformed their playground into a vibrant outdoor space that can be used all year round.
LazyLawn uses its colorful Fun Grass alongside its lush green Playtime turf to create its bespoke roadways, which are designed to fit the budget, space and needs of each individual school.
The roadways can include white road markings, traffic lights, stop signs, parking spaces and a zebra crossing, providing a suitable setting to teach road safety.
Megan Lucas, Head of School, comments:
We had the artificial grass installed on a part of the playground that was looking tired and didn’t fit in with the rest of our outdoor space.
We have an exciting, vibrant school and wanted the whole of our playground to match.
Previously, the area was made up of a criss-cross pathway with worn grass in between and while it was usable, it looked old and caused numerous problems in the winter as it would get very muddy.
The LazyLawn has proved to be a big hit with the children and their faces lit up when they saw it.
The area is now used from the moment the children arrive in the morning, for playtime and lunchtime, as well as for learning, and we plan to use it for cycling and road safety lessons in the future.
The children are also now a lot cleaner, so parents are delighted with the new LazyLawn too.
Andy adds:
We work closely with schools to provide a cost-effective solution to their needs.
Our Playtime turf is a fantastic product as it is extremely hard wearing and has been specifically designed for schools and nurseries, creating a safe and clean surface for children to play on.
LazyLawn offers many benefits to schools because it is low maintenance, creates no mess and is suitable for those with hay fever, making it suitable for use all year round.
LazyLawn has created a number of bespoke roadway installations for schools and nurseries across the country and is donating a pack of high visibility accessories any school booking their LazyLawn during Walk to School Month.
